What is CleanSky and what does it do?
CleanSky is a free, privacy-first crypto portfolio tracker designed for anyone who holds digital assets — from someone who just bought their first Bitcoin to a DeFi power user managing positions across dozens of protocols and chains.
At its core, CleanSky answers a simple question: what do I actually own, and what is it worth? You paste any public wallet address into the search bar — an Ethereum address, a Solana address, a Bitcoin address, an ENS name like vitalik.eth, or a Solana name like toly.sol — and CleanSky instantly scans the blockchain and shows you a complete breakdown of that wallet's holdings.
This includes token balances, DeFi positions (lending, borrowing, liquidity providing, staking, restaking), yield earnings, token approvals, and risk exposure. Everything is displayed in a single, unified dashboard.
CleanSky currently supports 50+ blockchains and detects positions across 484+ DeFi protocols. It covers the entire spectrum of crypto activity: from holding Bitcoin in a self-custody wallet to farming yields across multiple Ethereum Layer 2 chains, providing liquidity on Solana DEXes, or staking assets in the Cosmos ecosystem.
There is no wallet connection required. There is no sign-up process. There is no cost. You paste an address and you get your portfolio — immediately and privately.
Why was CleanSky built?
The crypto ecosystem has a fragmentation problem. A typical active user in 2025 or 2026 might hold Bitcoin in a hardware wallet, Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens on mainnet, stablecoins on Arbitrum or Base, staked SOL on Solana, LP positions on Uniswap and Curve, restaked ETH through EigenLayer, and governance tokens across multiple DAOs. Each of these lives on a different chain, in a different protocol, with a different interface.
Existing portfolio trackers attempted to solve this problem, but most introduced new ones. They require wallet connections — which means granting a third-party application permission to interact with your wallet software. They require sign-ups — which means creating an account and handing over personal information. Many of them use analytics trackers, store user addresses on their servers, and monetize that data through advertising or selling portfolio intelligence to trading firms.
CleanSky was built because we believed there should be a way to see your entire crypto portfolio without compromising your privacy or security. No wallet connection. No account. No server-side storage of your addresses. No analytics. No cookies. Just paste an address and get a clear, honest picture of what you own.
The philosophy behind CleanSky is straightforward: your portfolio data belongs to you, not to a platform.
How does CleanSky track Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and DeFi portfolios?
CleanSky uses read-only blockchain data to build a real-time view of any wallet's holdings. When you paste an address, CleanSky queries public blockchain endpoints and indexers to retrieve token balances, transaction history, and smart contract interactions associated with that address.
For EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Fantom, Gnosis, zkSync Era, Linea, Scroll, Mantle, Blast, and many others), CleanSky decodes smart contract state to identify DeFi positions. This means it can detect that a wallet has ETH supplied to Aave, USDC in a Curve pool, staked tokens in Lido or Pendle, restaked ETH through EigenLayer, or open leveraged positions on GMX — and show the current value, unrealized gains, and yield earned for each position.
For Solana, CleanSky reads token accounts and program data to identify holdings across SPL tokens, staked SOL, and DeFi positions in protocols like Raydium, Marinade, Jupiter, and others.
For Bitcoin, CleanSky performs address-based lookups to show BTC balance and transaction history. UTXO-based tracking works with standard Bitcoin addresses.
For the Cosmos ecosystem, CleanSky supports chains like Cosmos Hub, Osmosis, Celestia, dYdX, Injective, and Sei, detecting staked and delegated tokens, IBC transfers, and governance participation.
All of this processing happens client-side — in your browser. CleanSky does not store your wallet addresses on any server. The addresses you search are never logged, persisted, or associated with any identifier. When you close the tab, nothing remains on CleanSky's infrastructure.
What makes CleanSky different from other crypto portfolio trackers?
The crypto portfolio tracking space includes tools like Zerion, DeBank, and Zapper. Each has strengths, but they share a common design pattern: they require a wallet connection or an account, and they operate with server-side data storage. CleanSky takes a fundamentally different approach.
Privacy-first architecture. CleanSky never asks you to connect a wallet. There is no WalletConnect popup, no MetaMask signature request, no account creation flow. You paste a public address, and CleanSky reads the blockchain. Your addresses are processed client-side and never stored on CleanSky servers. This eliminates an entire category of security risk — a compromised portfolio tracker cannot drain wallets it was never connected to.
Broader chain coverage. CleanSky supports 50+ blockchains, including chains that many competitors do not cover or cover partially. This includes newer Layer 2 networks, the Cosmos ecosystem, and Bitcoin alongside all major EVM chains and Solana.
DeFi depth. CleanSky does not just show token balances. It detects and values complex DeFi positions: lending and borrowing (Aave, Compound), liquidity providing (Uniswap, Curve, Raydium), staking (Lido, Marinade), restaking (EigenLayer), yield farming (Yearn, Convex, Pendle), and token approvals. It calculates yields earned, shows position health factors, and flags risk exposure including unlimited token approvals that could be exploited.
Educational integration. CleanSky is not just a tracker — it is also an educational resource. The Learn section contains in-depth guides on topics like what Bitcoin is, how Ethereum works, DeFi fundamentals, and staking mechanics. The Blog publishes timely analysis on market developments, protocol comparisons, and risk events. This means users can track their portfolio and learn about what they own in the same place.

Is CleanSky safe to use?
Yes. CleanSky's security model is based on a principle of minimal access: the application never has the ability to move, spend, or interact with your funds in any way.
Read-only by design. CleanSky reads public blockchain data. It does not connect to wallets, request transaction signatures, or interact with smart contracts on your behalf. There is no mechanism through which CleanSky could initiate a transaction or access your private keys.
No private keys, no seed phrases. CleanSky never asks for, receives, or stores private keys or seed phrases. The only input is a public wallet address, which is already visible on the blockchain to anyone.
No server-side address storage. When you search an address in CleanSky, that address is processed in your browser. It is not sent to CleanSky servers for storage or logging. There is no database of user addresses that could be breached.
Client-side encryption. Any locally stored preferences (such as saved addresses in your browser) use client-side encryption. This data never leaves your device.
No tracking, no cookies, no analytics. CleanSky does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking technology. There are no cookies. There are no user accounts to compromise. The attack surface is minimal by design.
The safest portfolio tracker is one that never has access to anything worth stealing. That is the design philosophy behind CleanSky.
Who is CleanSky for?
CleanSky serves two distinct audiences that are often underserved by the same tool:
Beginners. If you just bought your first Bitcoin or received some Ethereum and want to understand what you have, CleanSky gives you a clear, jargon-free view of your holdings. Paste your address and see your balance, its current value, and any positions you hold. When you encounter terms or concepts you do not understand, the Learn section provides comprehensive guides written for people who are new to crypto. Start with What is Bitcoin? or What is Ethereum? and build your understanding step by step.
Experienced DeFi users. If you are managing a multi-chain portfolio with lending positions, LP tokens, staked assets, restaked ETH, yield farming strategies, and governance tokens scattered across chains, CleanSky gives you the unified view that no single wallet app can provide. See all your DeFi positions valued in real time, track yields across protocols, identify risky token approvals, monitor health factors on leveraged positions, and understand your true net exposure. The Blog covers advanced topics like restaking risk, yield strategies, and protocol analysis at a depth that matches your experience level.
Whether you hold $50 in Bitcoin or $5 million across 15 chains, CleanSky shows you the same complete, private, and honest picture.
How much does CleanSky cost?
CleanSky is free. Completely and permanently free.
There is no freemium model. There is no premium tier. There is no trial period. There is no feature gating. Every user gets full access to every feature: all 50+ chains, all 484+ protocols, DeFi position detection, yield tracking, token approvals, risk analysis — everything.
CleanSky does not monetize through advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content, or data sales. The project is currently self-funded. Future sustainability will come through models that do not create conflicts of interest between CleanSky and its users — never through selling user data or accepting payment from protocols for favorable coverage.
